Our food has a story. And since it’s local, Maine food, that story is without a doubt an interesting one. (And probably told with a wicked thick accent, deah.)
At Thurston’s, we provide you with lobster and other local seafood that is the freshest, highest quality product available anywhere. We’re able to do that only because of the wonderful local businesses we work with, and our fleet of lobstermen, who go out and do the difficult work of hauling their traps every day.
Our young guys (and our not so young anymore guys) are the hard working, heart and soul of Maine’s commercial fishing industry. It’s an industy rich in history, and sense of community. We’re proud to be a part of that, and happy to be able to share a little bit of it with you.
Eventually we’ll use this space to highlight some of our fishermen and other local businesses that supply us with product…. for now we’ll leave you with this while we concentrate on opening for the season!
